Scandinavian Airlines, Europe’s most punctual airline have just announced their most recent load factor results. The SAS Group’s load factor improved by 1.8 p.u. to 78.8%, a record for August.
Scandinavian Airlines carried 2.3 million passengers in August, which is a 4.7% increase. Their capacity (ASK) increased by 4.5% and our traffic (RPK) increased by 6.9%.
Traffic growth was good on most routes during August and especially strong on European routes as the group increased its seasonal capacity to leisure destinations during the summer.
Alan Sparling, Country Manager for SAS Ireland commented that the three nonstop routes SAS operate from Dublin to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo have also performed extremely well since January this year.
‘SAS is the only airline serving all 3 Scandinavian capitals from Dublin and we offer more frequencies than any other airline’ said Sparling.
‘With such high cabin factors, it is clear that our customers appreciate the fact that SAS has remained Europe’s most punctual airline for the 3rd year in a row and that we continue to be transparent with our prices which include much more than any of our competitors’.
