No baggage charges with Irish Ferries 6th July 2010
As Ryanair hikes baggage charges up to £80 per bag per return trip, Irish Ferries reminds travellers that it has no baggage charges on any route – whether you are travelling by car or as a foot passenger.
“If you can carry it, you can bring it for free,” says Head of Passenger Sales Declan Mescall.
“And if you can fit it in the boot, on the roof rack or on the back seat of the car – you can even bring the kitchen sink at no extra charge.”
Fares to Ireland this August for a car and driver start at £89 each way – a saving up to 30 per cent on ‘turn up and go’ fares. That is available for travel before 31 August on the operator’s south Wales service between Pembroke and Rosslare in Co Wexford.
Bookings should be made online at least 14 days in advance of travel on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Additional adults pay £23 each way and children under 16 years £13 each way.
Supplements apply for weekend Pembroke-Rosslare sailings and on all Holyhead to Dublin services.
