Turkish Airlines and the Turkish Golf Federation have come together to organise a golf tournament featuring the world’s top golfers.
The Turkish Airlines World Golf Final, sponsored by The Turkish Golf Federation, in cooperation with Turkish Airlines, will be held from October 9th – 12th 2012 in Belek, Antalya.
The tournament is expected to attract great interest worldwide, and will be televised live in more than 50 countries from the PGA Sultan Course at the Antalya Golf Club.
Players including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood will compete for the $5.2 million which will be at stake, one of golf’s richest prizes.
Golfing stars Charl Schwartzel, Hunter Mahan, Matt Kuchar, Justin Rose and Webb Simpson make up the rest of the eight chosen players.
Already known for its sponsorship of two world-famous football teams, FC Barcelona and Manchester United, Turkish Airlines, a global player in aviation, is also a strong supporter of sport around the world.
