Where else can you hear such diverse sounds as Americana, Country, Rockabilly, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Rock’n’Roll & Gospel. Visit Opryland the home of the world-famous country music show, the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, which details the history of country music through various costumes, manuscripts, and instruments. The museum also houses several temporary exhibitions which feature Country Music Hall of Fame inductees.

Your multi-centre holiday will continue in Memphis, birthplace of Elvis Presley, legendary ‘King of Rock ‘n Roll’ and site of Graceland. On your visit to Memphis, take tour of Sun Studio, the birthplace of rock and roll and the most famous recording studio in the world, home of the Million Dollar Quartet – Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. Memphis is known globally for its music, not only rock ‘n roll but also for blues and soul. Music fans from all over the world stroll down legendary Beale Street in the downtown area, here you will have ample opportunity to sample the famous Memphis soul food and enjoy the entertainment in any of the 25 music venues along the route.

From Memphis, you’ll head for the City of Natchez, the Jewel of the Mississippi River and the oldest settlement here. This riverside city is renowned for its beautifully restored historic house museums, cultural sites, and recreational and scenic parks. Your stay in Natchez includes a trip on the historic Steamboat Natchez, where you will experience the sights and sounds of river life that enchanted characters of history and literature – like Mark Twain’s Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer – and see the bustling activity of America’s second largest port! While on board, enjoy the view of the ever-changing skyline of ‘The Crescent City’ as you cruise past the Chalmette Battlefield, where the legendary Jean Lafitte and his buccaneers joined forces with Andrew Jackson to defend the city against the British in the Battle of New Orleans.
