Barbados Named Best Worldwide Destination at 2025 ITTN Awards

Dublin, 28 November 2025 – Barbados has been awarded Best Worldwide Destination at the ITTN Awards, held this evening at the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road, Dublin. Voted for by members of the Irish travel industry, the accolade recognises Barbados’ enduring appeal as a top holiday destination for Irish holidaymakers.

BTMI have been very active in Ireland during 2025, engaging with consumers, media, and travel trade alike, enjoying positive engagement from all. Barbados activity in the Irish market during 2025 included Meet the Media, MICE Meetup, the USA Summer Soirée and two trade roadshows run by TravelMedia.ie/TTR, as well as the Tour America Red Cow consumer event, the Big Event in Northern Ireland, and the Travel Counsellors Ireland conference. BTMI have also run co-ops with key travel agencies in Ireland, including Cassidy Travel, Click&Go, and Best4Travel. BTMI also hosted key travel partners as VIP guests at the Ireland vs West Indies test match in Clontarf Cricket Club.

Access to Barbados from Ireland has never been easier. Holidaymakers can fly via London or Manchester with Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, or Aer Lingus and via Amsterdam with KLM. Aer Lingus’ route via Manchester now flies into Terminal 2 from Dublin and out of the same terminal to Barbados, offering seamless connectivity, making the journey particularly convenient for Irish visitors.
