April was a productive month for the Travelmedia.ie/TTR team with many exciting events and activations across the calendar. Here’s a look at what we got up to:
MICE Meetup at Herbert Park Hotel
We hosted our annual MICE Meetup in Dublin’s Herbert Park Hotel, bringing together suppliers from around the world with a strong Portuguese presence, thanks to our sponsors Visit Portugal. The day was filled with valuable meetings between international suppliers and Irish MICE buyers. The evening concluded with port tonic cocktails, a delicious meal, and an insightful talk from Padraic Gilligan, co-founder of SoolNua.
Invest Barbados Dinner – Unlocking New Partnerships
On Tuesday, April 8th, Invest Barbados held their ‘Unlocking New Partnerships’ dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel, Dublin. Attendees included His Excellency Mr. Cleviston Haynes, Ambassador of Barbados to Ireland, and Stacey Hutchinson, Senior Business Development Officer for BTMI. Susan Craddock represented TTR at the event, which highlighted the island’s exciting investment opportunities for Irish businesses.

Bradley International Airport at ITAA Trade Day
Colm, Susan, Michael, and Sophie proudly represented Bradley International Airport at the ITAA Trade Day in the Intercontinental Hotel. The event welcomed over 120 top global travel brands and proved to be a brilliant evening for networking with agents, tour operators, and media from across Ireland.
The Portuguese Roadshow Returns
The Second Annual Portuguese Roadshow kicked off in style at Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin. Guests heard from four Portuguese regions, His Excellency Ambassador Bernardo Lucena, ITAA CEO Clare Dunne, and Visit Portugal’s Carlos Oliveira. The evening included Portuguese food and wine, networking, and a gin-making competition, where winners from each city earned a spot on an all-expenses-paid trip to Portugal this autumn for the ITAA Conference.
The roadshow continued to Waterford’s Treasures Museum and wrapped up at St. Peter’s Church in Cork.
Travel Agent Visits with Barbados
Susan from TTR/TravelMedia.ie and Stacey Hutchinson, Senior Business Development Officer at BTMI, hit the road across Dublin in April for a series of Barbados-focused travel agent visits. One highlight included a stop at the Click&Go offices, where the team shared updates on all things Barbados, from new hotel offerings to upcoming travel incentives.
Hotel Reps
On Thursday, April 7th, Colm and Susan travelled to London for the quarterly Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc (BTMI) Hotel Reps meeting. While there they were able to hear updates from reps of all the major hotel groups in Barbados, giving us a better idea of booking patterns and trends among visitors to Barbados. Colm and Susan were also able to present on past and upcoming activity that TravelMedia.ie/TTR has been carrying out in the Irish market on behalf of BTMI.
Barcelona Media Breakfast in London
In April, Michael and Anna hosted a successful media breakfast event in London on behalf of Barcelona Tourism. The morning gathering welcomed top UK travel journalists and editors to learn more about what’s new in Barcelona for 2025. The relaxed breakfast setting created the perfect opportunity for meaningful conversation, updates, and story ideas, continuing to build strong media relations for the city.
