Aer Lingus Global Sales Conference 2024
Michael, Susan and Raluca kicked off the year at the Aer Lingus Global Sales Conference, held at the Carlton Hotel in Dublin. The first of two nights was sponsored by Bradley International Airport. Michael a
ttended and spoke at the event on their behalf sharing some excellent insights. Night two was sponsored by Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., coupled with incredible cocktails and food. It was a fantastic opportunity to network with industry peers who had journeyed from across the globe for the occasion creating a great atmosphere for the evening.
BTMI Hotel Reps Meeting and Annual Christmas Party
Michael, Susan, and Raluca flew to London to participate in the BTMI Hotel Reps Meeting. This dynamic session served as a catalyst for hotel representatives and agencies collaborating with BTMI to exchange updates and strategies, solidifying the commitment to bringing visitors to the island of Barbados. The meeting culminated in the annual Bajan-style Christmas party, a festive celebration for all involved.
National Running Show
Raluca and Cedric, representing the vibrant spirit of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc, took to the National Running Show in Birmingham, to showcase the island’s allure to running enthusiasts and travel aficionados alike. With infectious energy and a wealth of knowledge, they passionately promoted Barbados as a premier destination for runners seeking both scenic beauty and challenging courses.
BTMI retreat
A brainstorming retreat in London saw Susan, Michael, and Colm return to London to lay the groundwork for the upcoming year. This collaborative session was instrumental in shaping innovative ideas and strategies, setting plans for exciting ventures in the year ahead.
ITAA Awards
Susan and Gloria from BTMI had the honor of attending the ITAA Awards in Dublin. These awards show recognition for suppliers and travel agents in Ireland, showcasing excellence in delivering international travel services. The event, supported by the Irish Travel Agents Association, Worldchoice, and Travel Centres, celebrated outstanding contributions to both leisure and business travel.
Holiday World Show 2024
Michael and Susan represented Bradley International Airport and Barbados at the Holiday World Show 2024 in Dublin the rest of the team was on hand to help. Visitors to the stand had the chance to engage with us, where we shared insights into the value of traveling to Bradley International airport. It was a vibrant showcase of the diverse offerings awaiting travelers, and the team thoroughly enjoyed connecting with the attendees. The US ambassador to Ireland attended the stand on the day.
Sophie Joins the TravelMedia Team
Amidst the exciting adventures that marked January 2024, we warmly welcomed Sophie to the TravelMedia team. After a few years of living abroad in Germany, Italy, and Thailand, Sophie has returned to Ireland with a profound passion for travel and a curiosity for exploring new cultures. This year, Sophie hopes to add to the tally of 31 countries already under her belt. We eagerly anticipate the unique perspectives and energy she will bring to the team.
