Astronaut Jon McBride from the Kennedy Space Centre touches down in Dublin
Today, Thursday 7th February 2019, saw American Holi
days welcome Captain Jon A. McBride, a former NASA astronaut and retired American naval officer, to Dublin. A handful of lucky customers joined the American Holidays sales and marketing team for a private lunch with Jon McBride, at Isabelle’s Restaurant, Dublin.

On 5th October 1984, McBride launched with STS 41-G Challenger for an eight-day mission, on which he was a member of the first crew of seven. Today, astronaut Jon McBride works with the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Orlando as a member of the Astronaut Encounter team.
