As part of the Meet the Media Sunday Social, registered delegates are invited to step beyond Dublin and experience two of Ireland’s most iconic regions on a full-day guided tour of Wicklow and Kilkenny — at no cost, hosted in partnership with Wild Rover Tours.

A day outside the city
The day begins with a scenic drive through the Wicklow Mountains, often described as the “Garden of Ireland”. Along the way, delegates will enjoy a traditional sheepdog demonstration, offering a glimpse into rural Irish life and farming traditions.
From there, the tour continues to Glendalough, one of Ireland’s most atmospheric historic sites. After a short guided introduction to its monastic history, there’s free time to explore the lakes, walk the valley, or simply take in the landscape at your own pace.
Kilkenny highlights
In the afternoon, the group travels on to Kilkenny, a compact medieval city known for its culture, craft and character.
Delegates will have time to enjoy lunch in the city before joining a guided walking tour through Kilkenny’s historic streets, bringing its Norman past and lively present into focus.
The visit concludes at the Smithwick’s Experience, located in the heart of the city, before the return journey to Dublin in the early evening.
Ending together at Grogan’s
Back in Dublin, all Sunday Social participants are invited to informal drinks at Grogan’s Pub from 6.00pm onwards, alongside those who joined the Dublin walking tour.
It’s a relaxed, social way to round off the day and connect with fellow delegates ahead of the conference.
