Into Kildare Showcases County’s Tourism Strength at Bloom and the KPMG Women’s Irish Open

Into Kildare, the official tourism board for County Kildare, has kicked off a busy summer of activity with a strong presence at two events — Bloom 2025 and the launch for the upcoming KPMG Women’s Irish Open at Carton House.

Over the June Bank Holiday weekend, Into Kildare was on site at Bloom, Bord Bia’s flagship horticulture and lifestyle festival in Dublin’s Phoenix Park. Visitors to the stand had the opportunity to learn more about the unique tourism offering of County Kildare — from heritage sites and boutique accommodation to food experiences and outdoor trails — engaging thousands of attendees with interactive displays and local storytelling.

This momentum continued with a presence at the launch of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, held on 3rd June at Carton House, a Fairmont Managed Hotel. The event began with opening remarks from Carton House General Manager Martin Mangan, followed by a Q&A with defending champion Annabel Dimmock, as well as insights from Stephen King of KPMG and Theresa McCann of the Ladies European Tour.
Since its revival, the KPMG Women’s Irish Open has drawn over 100,000 attendees and a global broadcast audience of more than 100 million. This year’s tournament, taking place from 3rd–6th July on the O’Meara course at Carton House, will feature top players including Leona Maguire, Charley Hull, Georgia Hall, Lottie Woad, Madelene Sagström, Anna Nordqvist, and Annabel Dimmock.

Into Kildare will once again be on site during the event, promoting Kildare’s world-class tourism offering to domestic and international visitors alike. The board’s continued involvement in high-profile events highlights its commitment to showcasing the county as a premier destination for culture, sport, and hospitality.
